The Celtics let the home game energy escape along with losing the possibility of claiming 3 consecutive matches on home court and lost an awesome opportunity this last Tuesday in NBA wagering news. Paul Pierce who is a previous NBA Finals Most Valuable Player has to become more active as the Celtics are in a do or die situation. Additionally they required Ray Allen to have another big game and the 2 of them were rather dormant in the last loss to the Lakers. It’s unbelievable but Allen was -13 from the court following the impressive and record breaking shooting of 7 3 pointers in the first half only of Game 2.

The Lakers will be just one game away from their fifth NBA Championship and NBA Winners for the second consecutive season with another good game from Bryant, Gasol and Fisher. Bynum, who obtained 9 points, was another strong player for the Lakers in game 3, but more importantly he had ten rebounds, an invaluable asset in these playoff matches.

The Celtics got even in the series score to 2-2 with the Lakers by claiming the game on Thursday night. The Celts’ victory averted a 3-1 deficit that has never been overcome in NBA finals history and guaranteed them a trip back to Los Angeles.

Despite no shots in the 3rd quarter, 2 turnovers and one foul, Pierce headed the Celtics with 19 points. 61 percent of the Lakers’ points were acquired by guard Kobe Bryant (33 points) and forward Pau Gasol (21 points).

The Celts played their first must-win match of the playoffs on Thursday night. They trailed the Lakers 2-1 in the NBA Finals odds and not even the most die hard Boston lover believes the Celtics could afford to lose on Thursday and win the series. The Lakers won an ugly game on Tuesday night thanks to Derek Fisher who simply outplayed everyone in the fourth quarter. Now the Lakers will attempt to put a stranglehold on this series on Thursday.

Boston was a 3.5 point favorite with an overall of 190 at SBG Global. Given that they evened up the finals on Thursday night with a win vs the Lakers, it looks like they earned that ranking.

The Celts pulled it off even though it was a hard match. The Celtics trailed by as several as eight points and was down 62-60 after the 3rd, but rallied on the strength of its bench in the fourth quarter, directed by Glenn “Big Baby” Davis. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points to lead the Lakers, while teammate Pau Gasol had 21. Nate Robinson’s three-pointer with 3.4 seconds left in the period delivered the Celtics to the 2nd with a 19-16 lead.

Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday night.

Derek Fisher continuously made the huge plays down the stretch, guiding the Lakers to win 91-84 on Tuesday night. Kobe Bryant had 29 points to top the Lakers but he missed a ton of shots. It was subsequently Fisher who claimed the match for the Lakers. Kobe gets a lot of the accolades when the Lakers succeed although not this time. It was Fisher’s match as he finished with 16 points, 11 of them made in the fourth quarter. Kevin Garnett had 25 points to lead the Celts while Ray Allen, who had 32 points in Game 2 was totally closed down. He finished with just two points after failing all 13 of his lineup goal attempts.

Boston didn’t get a whole lot from Paul Pierce in Game 2, and they got nothing from Ray Allen. Allen finished with just 15 points. Rajon Rondo also didn’t lead as he had in Game 2 as he finished with just 11 points, eight assists and three rebounds. It was mentioned before this series began that for the Celtics to win they needed Rondo to dominate. He did that in Game 2 and the Celtics won. In the other two games he didn’t and the Celtics lost.

The Lakers still shine gaining points in the NBA wagering playoffs. The Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six playoff games as an underdog. The Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Celtics are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. The Lakers are 4-10-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings vs Boston.

Looking at the total, the Under is 14-6-1 in the Lakers last 21 games as a road underdog. The Under is 5-1 in the Celtics last six home games. The Under is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings between the two teams.
